Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Vida (“Vida,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your access to and use of the Vida mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You may use Vida only if:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You can legally enter into a binding agreement.
• You are not prohibited from using the Services under applicable law.
• Your account has not previously been suspended or removed for a serious or repeated violation, unless Vida has authorized your return.

Vida is designed for adults seeking genuine personal relationships. It is not intended for minors, commercial matchmaking, solicitation, or professional services.

3. Your account

You agree to provide accurate, current information and keep required profile details reasonably complete. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials and for activity that occurs through your account. Do not share, sell, transfer, or allow another person to use your account.

Contact support@singleparentdating.org promptly if you believe your account or credentials have been compromised. Vida may require identity, age, or account verification where reasonably necessary for safety or compliance.

4. License to use Vida

Subject to these Terms, Vida grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for lawful, non-commercial purposes. Vida and its licensors retain all rights not expressly granted to you.

5. Community rules and prohibited conduct

You may not use the Services to:

• Impersonate another person, create a deceptive profile, or misrepresent your age, identity, relationship intentions, or affiliation.
• Harass, threaten, stalk, shame, exploit, discriminate against, or intentionally harm another person.
• Post sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate content, or content that promotes violence, hate, abuse, trafficking, or illegal activity.
• Solicit money, gifts, financial information, passwords, or other sensitive information from members.
• Advertise, spam, recruit, sell services, conduct research without authorization, or use Vida for commercial purposes.
• Scrape, copy, index, export, or collect member content or personal information through automated or manual means not authorized by Vida.
• Reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, introduce malware, evade access controls, or interfere with the security or operation of the Services.
• Create multiple or replacement accounts to evade a block, report, suspension, or enforcement action.
• Use another member's photos or content outside Vida without permission.
• Violate applicable law, another person's rights, or these Terms.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of photos, Today posts, profile text, messages, and other content you submit (“Your Content”). You represent that you have the rights needed to submit Your Content and that it does not violate law or the rights of another person.

You grant Vida a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical display, review, and display Your Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, protect, moderate, and improve the Services. This license ends when Your Content is deleted, except where limited retention is legally permitted or needed for safety, fraud prevention, backups, or enforcement.

We may review, restrict, remove, or decline to display content that violates these Terms, creates safety concerns, or is otherwise inappropriate for the Services. Approval or publication does not mean Vida endorses or guarantees that content.

7. Discover, compatibility, and availability

Vida may use profile details, preferences, location area, availability, Lifestyle DNA answers, and activity to determine which profiles are eligible to appear and to generate compatibility insights. These features are intended to support discovery, not to guarantee identity, compatibility, attraction, availability, a match, a response, or a successful relationship.

You are responsible for deciding whether and how to interact with another member. Availability and location information may be incomplete, outdated, or approximate and should not be treated as a promise to meet.

8. Messaging and AI Icebreakers

Messages are member-generated communications. AI Icebreakers may provide suggested conversation starters based on profile information. Suggestions may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. You decide whether to edit, use, or send a suggestion, and you remain responsible for any message sent from your account.

Do not rely on AI output or another member's statements as professional, legal, medical, financial, or safety advice.

9. Member interactions and safety

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members, online and offline. Vida does not guarantee the identity, intentions, conduct, criminal history, or truthfulness of any member and does not promise that profiles or content are error-free.

Use good judgment. Protect personal and financial information, communicate through the app until you are comfortable, meet in public, tell someone you trust about your plans, and contact local emergency services if you face an immediate threat. Use Vida's Report and Block controls when appropriate.

10. Reports, blocks, and enforcement

Vida may investigate reports and take action including limiting content, restricting features, suspending accounts, terminating accounts, preserving relevant evidence, or notifying appropriate authorities when reasonably necessary. We are not required to disclose confidential safety information, the identity of a reporter, or internal enforcement methods.

Blocking is designed to prevent supported interactions between the affected accounts. It does not guarantee that a person cannot encounter you elsewhere or create a new account. Misusing reporting tools may itself violate these Terms.

11. Third-party services and app stores

The Services may rely on or link to third-party platforms, authentication providers, hosting services, or websites. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. Vida is not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.

If you download Vida through Apple's App Store or Google Play, the applicable store terms also apply. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for providing or supporting Vida except as required by their own terms or applicable law.

12. Service availability and changes

We may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features, and the Services may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, security events, or circumstances beyond our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation or that any particular feature will always remain available.

13. Account suspension, termination, and deletion

You may stop using Vida at any time. To request account deletion, use the in-app option when available or email support@singleparentdating.org from the email address associated with your account.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, misused the Services, or if action is needed to protect Vida or others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

14. Intellectual property

The Services, including Vida's name, logo, interface, software, text, graphics, and other materials supplied by Vida, are owned by or licensed to Vida and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you permission to use Vida's branding or proprietary materials except as necessary to use the Services.

15. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Vida disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and quiet enjoyment. We do not warrant that the Services will meet your expectations or result in any match, date, relationship, or particular outcome.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vida and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from or related to the Services or member conduct.

Vida does not limit liability where doing so would be unlawful. Your rights may vary depending on where you live.

17. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law, including any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Before filing a formal claim, you and Vida agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue by contacting support@singleparentdating.org. This informal process does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or using a remedy that cannot legally be waived.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Services or legal requirements change. We will post the revised Terms with a new “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required. Continuing to use the Services after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them, to the extent permitted by law.
